SafetyNet Academy is a long-term treatment facility designed to serve emotionally or behaviorally disturbed children ages 10-18, located outside of Selma, Al. The men and women of Westwood, partnering with Kevin Derryberry Ministries, are living on mission at SafetyNet. Through monthly trips to SafetyNet, we get to minister to the kids and staff in many different ways: providing food for the students, playing sports/games with the boys, being mentors, sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the students and leading praise and worship. But we need your help. These kids need your love. Come and help us share Christ's love with kids who so desperately need it. And live on mission, right here in Alabama.
The next trip to SafetyNet will have 2 separate opportunities for volunteering.
· The first trip will most likely be the evening of April 15th (plans are still being finalized). Brent will be doing a Seder supper for the kids and will need help preparing the dishes and serving the kids.
· The second opportunity will be the SafetyNet Easter Egg hunt, beginning at 9:30 am on the Friday before Easter (April 22nd). This will be a chance to come and be a part of the games and fun at SafetyNet, and share the message of Easter with the kids

This is definitely an opportunity for you to Live on Mission and love and have fun with kids that desperately need it. So please, come and be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the kids and staff at SafetyNet.
